We focused on a three-dimensional design from the pattern onwards to minimise the use of threads and materials at the connecting parts, which are the cause of the weight.

Other materials have also been selected with an emphasis on lightweight design whilst ensuring design and durability.

A typical business backpack weighs around 1kg, but the Banepakka backpack is over 30% lighter, making it an item that anyone can easily carry.

It is woven with hollow yarn, a material developed for lightweight construction while maintaining durability.
